Significance of the Kite
The significance of the kite was quite interesting and here is how it started. Nobody ever daed to talk about the future until Iqbal came. Iqbal told Fatima that next spring together they would fly kites next spring. One day Fatima was talking to little Maria (who would not talk) about how wonderful kites were and how to use them and what's happens when they disappear. Without showing this at the time Maria thought this was amazing so into her carpet she wove the pattern of a kite.

The weather in the book Roll of Thunder, Here My Cry, is a lot like the events going on in the book. Since the books title is Roll of Thunder, there are many parts in this book that are pretty aweful and because of the Jim Crow laws nothing seems to help, and it does rain frequently. Then in the title it is Here My Cry, puts reason to why he times were pretty rough. The narrator is crying out to the thunder because she feel alone and abandoned. As you could hae guessed everything will get better.

TJ Avery and Stacey Logan are best friends. They are alike in many ways, but also very different. They share many likes and dislikes.
TJ and Stacey both share the same race. They also are both in seventh grade, i know this because in chapter one of the book Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, TJ tells Stacey that being in his moms seventh grade class want so bad last year. They both in a family with many kids.
However TJ and Stacey both have different personalities. TJ is a sneaky And manipulative person, there is proof of this ,on page 11, where TJ sneaked over to the Wallace store a place owned by whites ,black parents do not want their kids going to the store for obvious reasons, and when his mom caught him TJ told her it was because his brother went over for free candy. Only his brother did not go over to the store, TJ just said this so he would not be in trouble. Stacey, on the other hand, is faithful and honest. On page 79, TJ showed Stacey some cheat notes that he had copied, but Stacey took these notes and tore them up. Stacey knew cheating was wrong. Lastly the Logan’s own land and the Avery’s are sharecroppers.Thursday, April 10, 2014
ROTHMIC Chapter 5 prediction
"Um, Mr. Barnett, I think you forgot 'bout our order here," I said without thinking.
"Yes, now I didn't forget I will be with you in a minute."
After saying that he went right along helping all them whites. He would fill our order a little until a white came along and go help them and such it took a full thirty minutes before our order was read. By this time Stacey and TJ had come back.
"You shouldn't have said that he could have been real mad with us for not be respectful," Stacey lectured me.
I didn't care though because it was to late now to take it back. We continued on with our shopping. I waited and watched our wagon to see if Big Ma had come back yet, but the boys didn't care they continued on shopping.
"Uh, Stacey I think we should go back and wait for Big Ma, it isn't right just leaving like we did. She will be mad," I complained.
"Aw, hush up Cassie we will be fine."
I knew we would be fine but not fine with the trouble they are causing. Even though they weren't causing real trouble Stacey might get it for wondering away like this.
They kept in shopping by now we almost had all of our shopping done. I was starting to think that Big Ma may be proud of us instead of mad, but she did tell us to stay by the wagon.
Once we were done shopping we head back to the wagon with all our goods and saw Big Ma was still not there. By this point I was worried.
I guess I worried to soon though, because a second after we got there Big Ma come out of. The office and said she was proud of us. We went home just before dark.

Ch.13 Cave
Inside the dark and eerie cave my father and I saw nothing but blackness for walls, but there was others in the cave too. There were faces, the faces of the lost soul so the slaves of this town. They were being kept here. After the door opened the slaves recoiled and took of floating ghostly and quickly disappeared behind a hillock. They floated like the flames of torching held by a sconce. My father and I raced after them. Once they reached the end of he cave they pointed down another tunnel, as if to show where Pluto was headed. Then we ran down the tunnel and behind us we could hear the painful, lonely cries of the slaves souls begging for help.

The noise of laughter made her feel even lonelier. She hurried faster. That's when she heard a noise. It was as if he sound was trying to hurry to the other end of the hall as she was. But once she reached the end of he hall the sound disappeared into the crowd. The sound was just walking with her.
